How to select

1. Choose by micron first

Pick the mesh rating that matches the particle you need to remove, then choose the material for the chemistry. Choosing material first is the most common cause of premature blinding.

2. Monofilament vs multifilament

Monofilament gives a cleaner, more precise screen with higher flow. Multifilament offers more surface area per square foot and better dust loading capacity, at the cost of finer tolerances.

3. Check the housing dimensions

Bag length and diameter must match the cage inside your housing, not just the housing diameter. Oversized bags will not seal.

4. Plan for cleaning

If the bag will be washed rather than replaced, confirm the temperature and chemistry of your wash cycle against the resin before ordering.

Can nylon filter bags be washed and reused?

Monofilament and multifilament nylon bags can be washed and reused many times when the service is non-abrasive. Abrasive or oily service shortens life considerably.

What is the difference between plain weave and twill weave?

Plain weave is a simple over-under pattern giving a square opening and high stability. Twill weave puts the weft over multiple warps, which raises strength and service life at the cost of slightly lower flow.
